The quality and safety of manufactured bovine cholesterol concentrate and other bovine protein products is directly linked to the starting serum or plasma.  RMBIO only manufactures from domestic (U.S.) bovine serum or plasma, or for those customers that prefer an added measure of safety, raw materials sourced from Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) free countries such as Australia and New Zealand. 

RMBIO also adheres to a comprehensive vendor qualification protocol, which is similar to the manner in which RMBIO is qualified by its biopharmaceutical and diagnostic customers.That is, by personal inspection and audit of the supplier's quality systems and operations.  RMBIO requires full traceability of materials and has strict acceptance criteria for incoming materials.
